The stay-at-home policies and closing of non-essential businesses in many communities has had a notable effect on our suppliers’ abilities to deliver new products or keep manufacturing current ones. Other manufacturers are altering their production to essential medical supplies instead of household fixtures.

These changes have made our ability to complete certain aspects of our home builds more challenging than usual. For example, one cabinet manufacturer we prefer, Merillat, has temporarily closed down a factory. Orr grill manufacturer, Napoleon, is converting its grill manufacturing plant to making protective face gear for healthcare workers and people just like you.

Fairway Plumbing is still available for emergency repairs and certain installations, although business hours and optional remodels and upgrades may not be available at this time. Builder’s First Source has implemented the new safety and health guidelines, including restricting group activities and enhanced cleaning processes. The company remains operational, although the company encourages online ordering and delivery.

One of our favorite stone counter providers, Planet Granite, is still taking orders online and seeking to expand their selection, although its showroom is currently closed to the public. They are offering slab selections via FaceTime and have designers ready to make recommendations. Dahl, a local Colorado Springs kitchen and bath supplier, is open for business, although the showroom is closed to foot traffic. For designers, the company offers web conferencing to guide customers to the right selection, while plumbing contractors can pick up their selections at the warehouse without going inside

JS Homes is working with our preferred trade partners for updates to their services and product availability. Your ideal selections may not be available at this time, but our designers can help you find other options that suit the aesthetic and flow of your home.

The demand for certain supplies may involve our current vendors changing to other manufactured products to help protect the health of our country. At JS Homes, we’re operating within the guidelines set by the state of Colorado and recommended WHO best practices. We’re committed to finishing our current projects to the best of our ability. For new clients, we can video conference and work via the internet to plan your remodel or project.

We urge you and your family to take care of yourselves, stay safe, and stay at home.
